Sophia Griggs, LCSW-QS
Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Qualified Supervisor
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida and Georgia. My approach to therapy is based on the understanding that each individual’s experience is uniquely personal. I work with youth, adults, couples, and families in a compassionate, nonjudgmental way to enable them to build upon or discover new strengths to achieve the changes they seek to make.
I have over 20 years of experience working with youth and adolescents and their families in the school setting, providing mental health support to remove barriers that impact a child’s academic and social development. Professionally and personally, I am an advocate whose goal is to help children reach their maximum potential and their families to reinforce and support the child’s strength within the family dynamics. This is the same mantra in working with adults and couples, to be able to successfully navigate through life challenges with practical strategies modeled in sessions.
As a therapist in private practice, I assist clients with identifying their challenges and strengths, so they can face their future in a stronger or reinforced frame of mind. I choose therapeutic approaches that best fit each client’s needs. I often utilize an integrative approach that blends various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, narrative therapy and solution-focused techniques.
